Our Classes

Encore is a studio for teaching music, art and theatre. Encore’s philosophy - ‘music, life, fun’ drives us to not only strive for artistic excellence but to build confident and happy people. We are proud to offer music for everyone! Our groups are a great way to connect with a community of musicians and theatre lovers while pratising and learning new skills. 

 

With classes starting at $8 we aim to make music accessible to everyone.

Music for Adults

Beer O'Clock -
Low Voice Choir

A group for beginner to experienced singers.

 

Come enjoy a drink while you sing songs in a relaxed environment.

 

From Creep to Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life there are songs for all tastes.

Happy Hour -
High Voice Choir

A group for beginners to experienced singers.

 

We enjoy a wine or soft drink each week to lubricate the vocal chords.

 

With music from Ave Maria to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, you will certainly find your voice amongst friends.

WEDNESDAYS 7:15PM - 8:15PM

Music for Young People

6 - 21 Years

Musical Theatre

Singing, acting, writing & improvising are all of the things that make this class super fun!

 

The class will work toward a piece to present at our end of term concert.

 

Confidence will grow as you develop skills for life & the stage.

This class is aimed at primary school age students.

TUESDAYS 4:30-PM - 5:30PM

For ages 6-12 years

$12 per class

No booking required.

Noise Worx

Do you want to just sing? Do you have heaps of energy?

 

Then Noise Worx is for you! Our vibrant leaders will encourage you in building your confidence as you work as part of a group.

 

This class involves lots of singing & movement combined with group activities to get everyone involved in creating exceptional music!

 

WEDNESDAYS 4:30PM - 5:30PM

For ages 6-12 years

$8 per class

No bookng required.

Theatre Club

Our theatre class focuses on developing performance skills in both group and individual settings.

​

We will work on skills such as voice, physicality and improvisation and how it is applied to create theatre works. 

​

This class works toward perfromance oportunities for our end of term concerts and the Burnie Eisteddfod.

TUESDAYS 5:30-PM - 6:30PM

For ages 12 + years

$12 per class

No booking required.

Youth Choir

A vocal performance group for singers aged 12+. Learn how to sing in harmony with this fun pop choir.
​

Youth choir has a big emphasis on learning good vocal technique and basic harmonising skills within a fun and supportive atmosphere.

​

We will have performance opportunities

throughout the year!

WEDNESDAYS 6 - 7PM

For ages 12+ 

$8 per class

Art Adventures

Art Adventure is almost exactly what it sounds like! During Art Adventure, we leave the classroom in search of interesting everyday objects to sketch, paint, and admire.

 

This is a 4 week lot of classes build skills in critically thinking like an artist, and fine motor skills. Register your interest with the office to stay in the loop!

Uke Jam

Singing and playing the ukulele, what could be better?

A fun general music class, extending our musician through playing together!

Uke is provided if you do not have your own.

 

I this class our young musicians will learn a range of music concepts including rhythm, reading chord and lyrics charts, and general musicianship through games and activities. A great class for singers and anyone who just wants to play music.

THURSDAYS 4:30 - 5:15PM

6-12 Years 

$10 per class

Music for Young Children & families

Music with Caroline

A family centred music time led by Caroline Smith.

 

You and your child will dance, sing and play!

 

The group has a special emphasis on pre-academic skills and fostering beautiful interactions with your child.

 

Please note that this group is at the Burnie Child and Family Centre.
 

THURSDAYS 9:30-10:15  

    Ages  0-5 years

Little Noise

Do you have a young performer but not quite ready for lessons or our noiseworx choir - then Little Noise is for you! 

 

Explore your voice, instruments, and movement as we all learn to make music togther. In this class your child will learn scale concepts, pitch and rythm through a variety of songs and games. Your child will also get to perform at our end of term concerts! 

 

A great group to develop the foundations and love of music for your little perfromer. This group can then lead to individual istrument lessons or our NoiseWorx Choir.

 

WEDNESDAYS 4 - 4:30PM

    Ages  3-7 years

$8 per class

No booking required.

Little Theatre

This is for all those little ones with a spirit larger than life.

​

In little theatre, they will have the opportunity to work with peers to build confidence in public speaking and team work.

​

We will work through a series of rhymes and voicework, as well as characterisation and costumes to teach theatre through engaging and fun activities.​

​
